Luke Buczynski – Founder
Landscape Construction Specialist
The Fresh Perspective Landscapes dream was born when Luke moved his wife Katherine and baby girl Lianna up to the Blue Mountains in 2015. For the previous 12 years Luke had been working for prestige residential landscaping companies around Sydney and the Northern Beaches. He then undertook a role as landscape construction foreman with local company LMLS Group in Blaxland. His second baby girl Georgia was born in January 2016, and little Leo in November 2019.
Luke started his landscaping apprenticeship when he was 23, as a mature age student. Before this, Luke completed his trade as a baker and managed the Baker’s Delight at Bankstown. For many years, he worked ridiculous hours as the Head Baker! At 23, a career change from the bakery was inevitable after he met Kath. All our online followers and clients know that Luke places huge importance on his family, so the bakery hours were not going to work! And so he entered the high-end residential landscape construction trade.
Fresh Perspective Landscapes has been built on Luke’s excitement for the creation of quality, luxurious and beautifully landscaped outdoor areas, and his attention to detail across all project areas. He places a huge importance on developing and maintaining excellent relationships with his team and all his clients.
Kath Buczynski – Founder
Hi! I’m Kath, Luke’s wife. In 2016 I took over the office admin and marketing side of Fresh Perspective Landscapes, which I’ve loved! As a Chartered Accountant, there isn’t much room for anything creative in my regular working life, so running the blogs and social media for Luke has been fun! I’m currently home on maternity leave with our son Leo, which has also allowed me to ease our daughter Lianna into kindergarten at Ellison Public – it’s been really good to be home for this transition. Normally I’m in the city a few days a week managing a team at Accru Felsers Chartered Accountants. Always a tricky juggle!
I grew up in Winmalee, in our very own Buena Vista Rd. I also went to Ellison Public in Springwood for primary school, and then started the daily train ride down the mountain to North Parramatta for high-school. My family moved to the Hills District when I was in Year 11, and then Luke and I stayed in Baulkham Hills for a few more years after we met in 2006, before moving down to Canley Vale and then back to Winmalee in 2015.
Growing up, my Mum taught at Springwood High School (Mrs Leatheam) for many years, and Dad owned a local electronics business in Winmalee – Steve Leatheam Electronics. I was always drawn back to the Blue Mountains, and when Luke started to love the area as much as I did, it was pretty exciting! In 2015 we very coincidentally, moved back to Buena Vista Rd, to start our lives as a mountains family. A lot of the families I grew up with still live here, which is awesome to see.
