Retaining walls, stairs and sloping blocks

WINMALEE – Front entrance make-over. This project was a full front entrance makeover – street appeal on point!!  Take a look at the before photos…

We’ve created access from the driveway up to the front door, and also from the street side to the front door.

This was a sloping and awkward block where we used Merbau stairs with Ekodeck boardwalks in between the levels and bluestone natural steppers at each level. Handrails were created in Merbau to blend the mix of materials. Outdoor lights were built into the Ekodeck for safety.

The natural stone on-site was repositioned in refreshed planted and mulched garden beds.  We also added new pots, corten edging, a corten feature pot and a water feature.

New turf was laid, a new letterbox and garden lighting installed to finish the job.

This front yard is getting all sorts of attention!

Another creative freedom brief – “Luke, just sort it out for me”. Done

Winmalee – this project included retaining to level the area, corten screen install, fire pit area, bluestone steppers, block retaining wall construction around the middle garden bed and down the sides of the property, repaving existing staircase with bluestone pavers, new garden bed preparation, planting throughout and new lawn.

Hazelbrook – Side access sloping area sorted and how beautiful does it look! Excavated, box steps formed and filled – top steps paved with charcoal concrete pavers, clothesline pad also paved and garden beds mulched. View the before photos to see just how awesome the end result is.

Springwood – this one involved retaining and levelling the area – 12 tonne of road base imported – and stairs built to the back. The whole new area, including the stairs, has been paved in these beautiful natural bluestone pavers.

Sorting out the levels at this project in Winmalee – retaining wall constructed, with box steps from deck/clothesline level down to rear of property, bluestone steppers over 2 levels also. Deco granite and turf to finish!

Winmalee project – a huge overhaul of this backyard. Excavated completely, 40 tonnes of fill moved in and levelled. Concrete area to under existing deck, with clothesline pad also, new flat lawn area and garden beds installed with timber garden edging and plant design, man cave and storage area under the house was concreted and wall mural painted, and timber bench seat constructed, trampoline area mulched and installed. A clean, level area created from an awkward sloping block.

Retain it! Front and back retaining walls were created on this property in Blaxland, to maximise the usable space.

In Warrimoo it was a big event..constructing huge timber retaining walls down the sloping grassy hill to create some usable space. Also travertine paving pad to the back door, with stepping stones, custom timber staircase to access second level including sandstone crazy pave feature to treads, and also cut sandstone edging to corner the grass ramp down one side. And turf to finish!

Our Leura project had many elements. Start at the road! Cobblestone pathway from side of the road to top gate, with planting. From top gate, custom staircase was built for access down to the front entrance, with handrail. Concrete feature pads were formed and poured at the bottom of the stairs, hardwood decking installed at the front door, replanting everywhere with corten ring pots and feature trees, timber gate was built and installed, paving along new gardens. Huge! This one was an amazing transformation.

In Winmalee, we cleared out a lot, built a stone retaining wall alongside the driveway and side of house, installed “crazy” sandstone paving and pebbles for pathway from the top of the driveway to front door,  turfed around the house, planted out the bush stone walls, and built a custom stone seat.
